What is the solution?

By americanheart

I am saddened by the news of a little girl in Pakistan abused. Media still debating about laws and governance and what not. To me its not a new story and not a very uncommon one either. Although when a female child is victimized it ignites more rage but in all honesty male children are not spared either, infact are easier targets and more frequent victims. The causes are many and treatment does not imply an overnight remedy. The real question is what are the preventative measures we should take collectively as members of a struggling society, as future parents and forbearers of the flag? What would you have done if it was your daughter or son? What would you do now? Please comment....

well. .media ignite the stories and these stories gone like a wind .. and people forget . for example the blaspheme videos., four boys killed in Sialkot Pakistan....history is full of these incidents when ever enforcement of law is fragile

People do not read any book, but read a lot of internet comments. the whole premise of their faith, nowadays is based on negative internet comments. I dont see any sort of valid reasoning in painting all the religions with the same brush. Disbelievers and believers are not same. Disbelievers do not see what believers see. They cannot accept reality as believers do. whats the point of debating this than, anyways.

The Old Testament, The New Testament and the Quran all tell the same story of religious deception and predict the return of a dark power which people will follow and they foretell of the signs of the end...so, Jews will be deceived...Christians will be deceived and Muslims will be deceived all by money and false promises. None are immune so my question is why do people find what God promised to be a surprise? Every day I am made aware of unthinkable horrors but I then I acknowledge that this was promised...I don't like it...but I accept it as was promised. Thoughts?

I agree, Pakistani society has decayed a lot, the reasons for all these problems are, that people have left their religion. Islam was the force that had made people work together and lived according to the norms of humanity, nowadays, people in general have gone astray and you can see the results.

Actually Liam Neeson has made this a personal crusade of his by partnering with UNICEF to tackle this scourge...I wish he could look the abusers in the eye with a steely glare and say "I will find you"

I don't believe in capital punishment. But anyone that harms a child should be skinned. How can anyone commit such atrocities to such an innocent soul.

Arcade_Fire (September 20, 2013 at 9:12pm)
Each and every child born into this world is innocent and deserves the best life. Its so hard to for me to wrap my head around how anyone could inflict harm on a child; it is the most abhorrent form of violence out there and we have to make it disappear! The culture of violence that exists in our country needs to be changed.
