As most of you will be preparing for EId - rushing out shopping , having feasts etc....take time out and look at this site /article and spare a thought and do duas for the plight of Palestinians..
Seek Knowledge ..it is the most powerful tool ....so read and learn and then in all conscience decide if you really want to have parties etc or rather divert any funds, expend energy in duas and constructive, beneficial action etc to help those who cannot lift their heads due to sorrow of loss of loved ones, massacres etc.

AOA broken-wings., you are very welcome and as always thank you for you comment. Indeed, however, sadly too often culture and religion are blurred or mixed, if people would just really understand and first and foremost follow the basic principles of religion/faith then so much unnecessary pain, suffering etc would diminish. We individuals have to focus on our Nafs first and foremost, use pure religion ie the messages advice therein as our foundation , only then will we make inroads.
In the meantime, Prayer/dua is the least that can be done in my opinion.

May Allah help the Palestinians, millions of Syrians, Iraqis, Egyptians, muslims in Burma, and any human that is being abused. The best is to take action, if not raise your voice, and if not make duwa at minimum in hopes to make a difference. The other day I went to a rally and people showed up from all faiths and culture cause all good people pray that no one ever gets mistreated. Hmm....that is your choice not to pray crossculture....Prayer never done any harm ..and praying for wisdom or peace or reprieve of injustices is not incorrect in any book or thought. Loss of innocent lives eg children ...that in itself is a plight of the palestinians, and i respectfully dont see how doing duas for those innocent souls, civilians who arent into politics or driven by selfish agendas ie materialistic etc ...how can it be wrong to do duas /pray for them!! I thank you for sharing your thoughts though.

respectfully, I won't pray about it but I hope that both of those groups and all of the other groups in the world (regardless of the rulebook they claim to follow) who are doing things for a piece of dirt gain wisdom...and that they don't gamble and throw away the privilege of life that they have been given. God clearly said pride comes before the fall...pride of ownership...none of us own anything in this spinning globe...only Him. If people just choose to be happy with what they have inside life goes a whole lot more smoothly. God gave us words...Man made the guns. I hope they get good leadership.
