Having a "ME" moment

By txcanadian

The weather is sweet. The trees are hypnotically dancing, engulfed by a fresh breeze that swoops in and is quickly followed by another gust of wind. Kind of like the life of a wave. Born in the ocean and then is makes it's way to the shoreline to live it's last breathe. As the branches sway to and fro, the sun rays pierce through the leaves creating a backdrop of shadows and light chasing each other. I sit on my gallery on the second floor with my eyes closed capturing the sounds around me. Struggling with a fever and barely have any energy to sit up, I try to savor every second. The sun is soothing to my skin and the sounds of the wind are therapeutic.

Always being on the go we miss out on small moments. We anticipate, plan and wait for moments. Be it a vacation, travelling, camping or whatever gives you grounding. But in the midst of all this, away from the cell phone, the TV, the internet, people and work there are moments that can truly take your breathe away. You just need to find those moments. You need time alone, let you mind wander and let yourself go.

I'm glad I left work early because I'm having a "ME" moment and enjoying every minute of it. Soon, the sun will set, the wind will die down and the day will say it's goodbyes only to be welcomed by the serenity of the darkness. But this day will end and we will inevitably continue living out the rituals of the daily grind.
