An emergency
By americanheartSo today I was faced with a real life, life threatening emergency.
Frantically I search for phone numbers on my contact list, whom to call other than 911. Before dialing any number I paused and gave it a thought and ended up not calling. Out of may be a 100 or more names I ended up calling one person who immidiately attended to my call and helped me out.
It makes me realize how alone one really is...and that a friend in need is a friend indeed. It makes me think should one delete all names from ones contact list whom one cannot trust in the hour of need or should one keep on fooling oneself and keep thinking this false security blanket would protect oneself from harm?

it is soo true americanheart :( at times like these it really does bring home how alone we really are or can be ....have found myself in that sort of predicament more than once.
reminds me of a quote : 'We are born alone, we live alone, we die alone; Only through our love and friendships can we create the illusion that we are not alone'

That's sad. I'd have atleast 20 who would attend.
